I decided to take a quick trip out before the snow storm. In Ketch Hbr I saw a female Harlequin Duck swimming near the wharves. It swam towards me and into the fast running water under the bridge on the main road. I got great looks as it climbed out on a rock just below me as I stood on the bridge. I finally got the female Eastern Towhee (3rd try) at Kirk and McManus. It was below the feeders at the next house along Kirk. The Red-bellied Woodpecker flew into the large tree at the corner of Kirk and McManus. Except for Black Guillemots, there were no alcids to be seen right out to Chebucto Head.
