Hello, hello...

One evening last week my brother heard a noise in the trees as he was
walking his dogs. His flashlight hit two mature Bald Eagles in the
trees above his head. He said he could hear crashing branches for
several seconds as they took flight in the dark. He felt badly for
disturbing them, but had no idea they would have been there. This is
near Williams Lake in Halifax. He's seen them again since then.

I've also heard that our mice populations are up because of the mild
weather... probably true for lots of our rodents. That should be
good for birds of prey such as the Owl at Fleming Park. So much for
letting out my toy poodle at night. Haha...

Let's hope we either get snow or rain, but not an ice storm.

Cheers,

Ann M.
