Just yesterday I added a note on my calendar commenting on the abundance =
of Dew Worm holes and tailing piles found on and near our house. The =
kids have been bringing in slugs and earth worms all winter to feed the =
turtles. They're most often retrieved from under wood, but can be found =
under rocks or other debris around the yard also.

  Subject: [NatureNS] Earthworms in January

This afternoon (Sunday) in Halifax a neighbour of ours watched an =
earthworm inching along a patch of mud in the sunlight in his back yard. =
How common is it for worms to be active the first week in January? These =
days are others seeing worms up and about elsewhere?
