Evening presentation of Halifax Field Naturalists:

FORESTRY IN NOVA SCOTIA - THURSDAY 7 DECEMBER

Joanne Cook of Ecology Action Centre's "Standing Tall Campaign" will
present the facts about Nova Scotia's forestry, suggesting some changes
that will preserve/protect our wild lands. Our forests have been
systematically replaced by tree farms, and clearcut at the rate of over
500 square kilometres a year; now the paper sector is teetering on the
brink of disaster. EAC has some innovative ideas to save our forests.

7:30 p.m. in the auditorium of the Nova Scotia Museum of Natural History,
1747 Summer Street, Halifax

All are welcome!
