I understand that the leg bands on the young male Mandarin Duck on First
Lake in Lower Sackville are not the metal ones from the Canadian Wildlife
Service, but private ones (plastic?). So how is it possible to trace this duck
to its bander/owner to get a history on it if this person is willing to give it
out?
Is this duck able to fly or are its wings clipped? What chance does
it have for survival if winter does arrive with its brutal weather and the lake
possibly freezing over? JET
