Chezzetcook to Lawrencetown. A few highlights were: Nelson's Sharp-tailed Sparrow - 1 ad., in the salt marsh at W. Chezzetcook (just west of the church). It appeared to be a member of the interior (nelsoni/alterus) races. Very bright yellow-orange supercilium, breast, and flanks; dark streaking on flanks; bright grey nape and auricular patch; white scapular "braces"; short bill. Feeding along and in the salt marsh vegetation, with 3 Song Sparrows. Hooded Merganser - 5 at Shore Road, W. Chezzetcook Surf Scoter - 3 at Grand Desert, 2 at Three Fathom Hbr. Black Scoter - 1 m. at Three Fathom Hbr. Am. Wigeon - 12 at pond at Grand Desert Am. Coot - 1 at same pond D-crested Cormorant - 1 at same pond C. Goldeneye - 1, Three Fathom Hbr. Long-tailed Ducks - 5 at Grand Desert and 1 at Three Fathom Bufflehead - 30+ at Lawrencetown River Black-bellied Plovers and Red Knots at Three Fathom No sign of the Great Egret, but we were at Lawrencetown at full high tide. The air was a bit cold and damp, but there was little wind and it was a great day for birding. Cheers, Susann Myers --Boundary_(ID_wc+/gPgdgrYqAx4VoQOnSg) Content-type: text/html; charset=iso-8859-1 Content-transfer-encoding: 7BIT <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN"> <HTML><HEAD> <META http-equiv=Content-Type content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1"> <META content="MSHTML 6.00.2900.2995" name=GENERATOR> <STYLE></STYLE> </HEAD> <BODY bgColor=#ffffff> <DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Pay McKay and I did some birding along the Eastern Shore today, from W.
