While attending our local Remembrance Day ceremonies out in the bright sunshine at Seabright, St Margarets Bay, an eagle circled slowly above us for quite some time - but I am not sure what kind of eagle - it flew and circled like an eagle and had the great long, flat wingspan of an eagle - but at times it appeared to have an almost turkey vulture-like dihedral and, most specifically, while its wings were dark, its entire belly from head to tail appeared white. I thought an immature bald eagle's belly was dark; is this some sort of in-between stage - or what? Any comments?? Eleanor Lindsay
