The Northern Lights were spectular especially in winter. We always thought we could hear the noise they made going across the sky but there was a lot of currents in the sea and when there was ice - there was lots of possibilities! There was a couple of heron rockeries on the island also. These were noisey affairs and the Scotch settlers called them "bougles". That word meant to them scare crows. The name will soon die a forgotten death as no one even uses it nowadays. So even if no boom makers there waas lots of other noises. Enjoy the fall Paul ____________________________________________________________________________________ Sponsored Link $200,000 mortgage for $660/mo - 30/15 yr fixed, reduce debt, home equity - Click now for info http://yahoo.ratemarketplace.com
