Nov. 6, 2006 - At my feeders in Wolfville in late morning during a light
fall of snow were 3 EVENING GROSBEAKS (2m/1f), a species that I havenąt seen
for quite a while. It was nice to see the female on the sunflower-seed
feeder not be intimidated by the omnipresent and aggressive 4 BLUE JAYS.
Also present were 2 crows, 3 juncos, 3+ white-throated sparrows, 1 song
sparrow, a downy woodpecker, 4 bl.-c. chickadees, 2+ robins, etc.

Our male N. CARDINAL showed up at the safflower-seed feeder at 5:15 p.m.
with nearly no light to show him up.

Nov. 7, 2006 - Our female N. CARDINAL showed up at the feeders at 9:30 a.m.,
this time eating cracked corn from the pheasant feeder; earlier there were 3
PHEASANTS there (1m/2f).

Cheers from Jim in Wolfville, 542-9204
