Sad sight today.  There was a Great Blue Heron on the Causeway to  
Corkums Island by Lunenburg.  I believe it had a broken wing... it  
was just hanging down by it's side.  Though I did see it stretch some  
feathers near the end of the wing.  This could be hopeful.  Still,  
the wing hung below it's body.  It was on the left hand side of the  
road before you actually got to the island.  It was up on dry land by  
a few small spruce trees.

Is there anyone that could help this bird?  I'm not sure who to  
contact in these circumstances.  It was there this evening around  
6:00 and when I went by it the second time it was all tucked in for  
sleeping.  So I imagine it will be staying there.
