The=A0October meeting of the Halifax Centre of the RASC (Royal=20
Astronomical Society of Canada) will be held=A0Friday,=A0October=A020th =
at=20
8:00 PM in Room L176 of the Loyola Building at Saint Mary's University.

(A map can be found at the=A0Centre's web site; see below.)

Members of the public are welcome. Attendance is free.

The main presentation will be 'Ancient and Not-So-Ancient Astronomy in=20=

Ireland' by Patrick Kelly.

While on vacation in the Emerald Isle this summer, Patrick visited=20
several locations that have a connection with astronomy. While three of=20=

others the link is a bit more tenuous.

Patrick is a long time member of the Halifax Centre and currently holds=20=

the positions of Treasurer and National Council Representative on the=20
