All: Had to be in Dartmouth, so took a quick look at the "beach" of Bisset Lake in Cole Harbour, where there was a group of 8 Lesser Scaup in the fog. At Sullivan's Pond, I saw the quite bright rufous wigeon, clearly a Eurasian, that had been photographed in recent days by both Lucas Berrigan and Bernard Burke. Can't quite figure out yet if it's going to turn into a male or a female in its winter (basic, but bright) plumage. There are probably plumage details to address the problem. Cheers, Ian
