Hi, all-

This Sunday, October 15 geologist Howard Donohoe will lead a field trip entitled "Origins of Nova Scotia Gold". It begins at 9:00 in Halifax, and will last most of the day. We will learn how how geologists search for gold, define where it is concentrated and how much is there, and plan for extraction. We'll examine the rocks that hold the gold, and see how the gold was emplaced, by visiting some rocky outcrops in Halifax, Tangier, Moose River, and other parts of the Eastern Shore.

Complete information is here: http://hfn.chebucto.org/trip_show.cgi or you can contact Burkard and Ingrid Plache 475-1129 or hfn.programme@gmail.com .

Regards

Peter Payzant
