I briefly visited the beaches on Hartlen Point's South Shore yesterday
early afternoon. Tide was low and still going out

I found 10-12 Pectoral Sandpipers, 2 Am. Golden Plovers, 25-30
Black-bellied Plovers, several dozen Semiplamated Plovers, and a
smaller number of Semipalmated Sandpipers feeding in the seaweed.

Shorebirds feeding in the seaweed were outnumbered by sparrows,
mostly Savanna's , and quite a few Song.

A merlin was mobbed by a large flock of starlings and quickly
disappeared.

Nice October day, we could use a couple more like it
