Today after school I visited the Shearwatwer Flyer Trail in Eastern =
Passage and I too saw 8 Monarchs . They were along the trail also =
visiting the Goldenrod and the wild Aster. This is defininitely a =
"rebound" year for them . I believe the last time we had a bumper crop =
of Monarchs was 1997. I think Jim Wolford mentioned that year in an =
earlier posting this season. I remember them flying right up to the =
Thanksgiving weekend that year.=20

  Hi all
I made a visit to the Eastern Shore today from Sheet Harbour to =
Ecum Secum. I saw a 9 Monarchs on Sober I., 1 at MacDonald Cove Rd., 2 =
at Mitchell Bay and 1 at Ecum Secum. All were on headlands but I did not =
see any attempt to fly over the ocean as the wind was strong from the =
SW. Most areas also had Sulfurs likely Clouded which were more =
numerous. The was a few Cabbage Whites as well. Bird report later... =
nothing rare but a nice day birding.=20

  cheers
      Ken
