Index of Subjects --Apple-Mail-28--1064356333 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Content-Type: text/plain; charset=US-ASCII; delsp=yes; format=flowed Hi Laurie, That's most interesting: I would not have expected that these birds would fly east across the Atlantic (it looks like some of them are just south of the Azores at the moment) before flying south to Tristan da Cunha. Moreover, some of them are moving along at quite a clip. I note that Tristao has almost traversed the Atlantic in a week since he was banded. I'm impressed that there are transmitters available that are small enough that they can readily be attached to birds. Perhaps you can elaborate a bit on these and how they are attached. How long a lifespan do they have? A fascinating project!
