Index of Subjects Hi John and All Kingbirds are common this summer and I've seen them in a lot of different places. Charming birds. My father told me when he was young - early 1900s they were very common but then disappeared - in eastern PEI at least and before the days of DDT. They started to reappear in the 50s - prehaps some disease? Nighthawks seem to have left - I haven't seen any the last couple of evening - and I was in good spots for them. Enjoy the summer Paul --- john belbin <jbelbin@ns.sympatico.ca> wrote: > Flycatchers continue to be unusually obvious close > to Walker Brook today. > We have had a "family" of Kingbirds here all morning > and they are quite > active.
