Field trip organised by Halifax Field Naturalists:

INTERTIDAL MUD FLATS - SUNDAY 10 SEPTEMBER

Jim Wolford will lead this joint trip with Blomidon Naturalists Society on
an extra low tide to view the flora and fauna at the Kingsport tidal
flats. The mud flats are absolutely full of diverse critters with
fascinating life-histories and diets. Lots of shells, worms, crabs,
shrimps, hydroids, snails, clams, fish, etc. will be seen. Wear rubber
boots or old running shoes that can be washed off afterwards (we have
access to a hose). Bring snacks and drinks

Contact:	Jim Wolford 1-902-542-9204
Time/Place:	Rain or Shine - 8:00 a.m. at the Wolfville Waterfront or
8:30 a.m. at the Kingsport Wharf. Kingsport is 25-30 minutes
from Wolfville, so allow plenty of time to get there. Timing
is very important since low tide will wait for no one.

All are welcome!
