Hi, Yesterday morning I went down to Hartlen Pt, where I joined a few other birders, and we found 10 species of Warbler, 2 of Flycatcher, 1 R-E Vireo, a smattering of Shorebirds, including several Whimbrel, and watched an Osprey eating an unidentified flatfish on the radio tower. This morning after spending the night at our cottage at Baxter's Harbor, Liz and I sat on the deck in the sunshine looking over the Bay of Fundy having coffee and toast, and the air, trees and bushes all around us were full of birds for about an hour. Without even getting up from the picnic table, we had great looks at several each of - N.Parula, Blackburnian, B-Th. Green, Bl & W., Blackpoll, Yellow, Chestnut-sided, Yellow-rumped, C.Yellowthroat, Magnolia, G-C Kinglet, Alder Flycatcher, Am. Robin, Blue-headed Vireo, Song and Wh-thr. Sparrows. All flying around from tree to bush, making chip-notes, and feeding on bugs. Liz's comment was - "This is just like the Canopy Tower in Panama". Working tomorrow, though - after all, it's Labor Day.
