I think Mary and David are talking back and forth about the Clintonia berries/leaves/plant, but I wish you would include that information in your emails, as it is important to know about the rather unpleasant reaction David had to something?? If indeed it is Clintonia borealis, I "remember" reading that the berries are poisonous to consume and can easily be fatal to children. However, I cannot now find the source, and it is not listed in the Peterson Field Guide to Venomous Animals and Poisonous Plants. I wish I could find the source. JET
