We still have the following daily regulars at our feeders in Beaverbank:

Downy Woodpeckers
Hairy Woodpeckers
Blue Jays
BC Chickadees
DE Juncos
Common Grackles
RT Hummingbirds
Purple Finches
American Goldfinches
WB Nuthatches
RB Nuthatches
Mourning Doves
European Starlings
RW Blackbird (occasionally)

I have also heard in the woods behind our house an Eastern Wood Pewee
off in the distance. I first heard it on July 9, and heard it a couple
of times since then, most recently this morning. Two days ago we also
had a Black & White Warbler in the yard. A lot of the birds coming to
our feeders are baby birds, and some are still being fed by their
parents (Hairy Woodpeckers and Blue Jays). We have a family of 5 or 6
Blue Jays that are here everyday. One of the young Hairys has taken an
aggressive stance against the Blue Jays and pecks any Blue Jay that
tries to come near his bird pie! It's quite funny to watch.

I've uploaded some new photos to my website, taken in the past couple of
weeks. Follow this link and go to the "recent photos" gallery:

Is anyone else experiencing a sudden loss of birds at feeders or around
the garden?
We were filling feeders daily until about two weeks ago when everything
stopped showing up.
The only species feeding here now are hummingbirds.
I drove to Cape Sable with a friend yesterday and saw some good flocks
of waders there but as as far as land birds went we saw only six species
on the drive there and back. Goldfinch, Starling , tree swallow,
mourning dove, robin, and ruffed grouse.
