Stanley Kubrick rocks. Check out these sites if you know about as much of him as the average person out there. He makes movies that matter to him, not the bums in the seats. Also, he has a cool man/society vs technology thing going that I kinda like.
Actually,Ingmar
Bergman, Oliver Stone, Coppola, and the guy that did
all of
those "Star Wars" movies are in my
list of 'the best ever'. Its hard to
pick just one. Actually, to tell you the truth I thought that The
Phantom Menace blew chunks. But thats just between you and me.
Akira
Kurosawa rocks too. Check him out.
I like comics and have been reading them for as long as I can remember. No, I don't read 'spiderman' or 'superman' or any of those other crappy adolescent fantasy mags. I read 'cool' and 'hip' mags like Cerebus(Actually, cerebus is neither 'cool' nor 'hip' but...). I read books too, so no smart-ass comments ok?
Some mags that I read and recommend are Strangers In Paradise, Optic Nerve, Milk&Cheese, Eightball, Peep Show, Stray Bullets, and whatever else that happens to catch my eye and doesn't have a chick with a 4 inch waist and big tits on the cover.
I am not the next UnaBomber but if I were I would probably find these sites interesting. Click on here to inform and prepare yourself for the future.
Atari's are cool. I've still got a 600xl(boosted to 64k) that I got
in
1981. The Atari VCS is cool too. People spend mega-bucks on Playstation
games. I can get atari games for 50 cents a pop. And there's no shortage
of Atari computer software on the internet.
Thats another thing: I'm able to connect to the internet with an Atari 800xl(upgraded to 256k Ram) via a 1200 baud modem and using a vt100 terminal emulator. Sick eh? Um, I don't do that anymore. Only when I want put a game on a 5.25 floppy. When I get a faster rig I'll probably just use an emulator.
I'm also a bit on the Mac bandwagon. I like 'em! Um, no I don't have
one right now at this moment (unless you count the Macintosh Classic) but
I will in the future. In the meantime my brother's old 1992 '486 piece of
PC crap will have to do(Thanks, Paul)
I grew up in the Canadian Forces. I'm not from anywhere so don't ask me where I'm from. Just because I live here doesn't mean a thing. Think about it, If I lived in Japan for 10 years would I be Japanese?
