James Langford a shipwright first landed in Saint John New Brunswick, he would very shortly leave for digby and settled in Weymouth Falls and
was a pioneer of that settlement,
located on Lot 26, Block J, Botsford Grant, purchased Lot 13, Block T, Botsford Grant, of Thomas Cornwall,
September 12th, 1800 and settled thereon. He was an industrious citizen, and reared a respectable family,
who amassed
considerable property. One of his five sons James S. Langford was a founder of the Baptist Church in Weymouth Falls.
