2001 Spring Schedule

 

NOTICE : "Parent Consent Forms" must be filled out, signed and dated for all events or activities not held at our usual meeting place (Our Pond) Beaver Bank Monarch Drive Elementary School. This is a Scouts Canada requirement. Consent Forms will be supplemented with a "Physical Fitness Certificate". Thank you for your cooperation. Effective Jan 2001 we can now use the new "List Type Consent Form" for Tours & Fundraisers.

NOTICE : In order to insure the safety of your children. Beavers must be escorted to all events including regular meetings by an adult. Please come in to the school with your Beaver for drop off or pick up. Thank you for your cooperation.

Mar 20 2001 , Parents Night. (to make up for the one that was cancelled before the March Break) Beavers have invited there parents to join our colony. We look forward to sharing in our fun and festivity. refreshments.

NOTICE : As a result of a pending strike we have received notice that we will not have the use of Beaver Bank Monarch Drive School. We have made arrangements to hold some of our meetings at The Brown Hall.

Mar 27 2001 , Dinosaurs. (Meeting at the Brown Hall)

Apr 3 2001 , Beaver Buggy Building. This could get messy so wear something that you don’t mind getting painted. Uniform optional. (Meeting at Ringtail's house)

Apr 10 2001 , Beaver Buggy Races. (Meeting at the Brown Hall)

Apr 17 2001 , Scout Trees Campaign - we will meet outside of the Brown Hall at 6:15PM, our territory is Woodbine Park and around Monarch Drive. Uniform and Consent Form required. Parents are requested to accompany the Beavers

Apr 24 2001 , Big Brown Beaver's Birthday. (meeting at Brown Hall)

Apr 28 2001 , 2nd Beaver Bank Group Camp at Fun Forest Camp. Meet at the camp gate for 9:30AM Saturday morning for a 10Am arrival to camp. Parents will be met at the camp gate at 6:45PM to be let into the cabin for a 7PM departure of Beavers. Pre-registration is required, make sure Ringtail has your registration before Mar 22, 2001 to insure your participation.resechduled for May 26

May 1 2001 , CANCELLED. no meeting today.

May 2 2001 , Scout Trees Planting Day (to be confirmed). Sorry for the delay but now it's confirmed planting will be on May 9. See May 9 for details.

May 8 2001 , Cancelled Catch the Fish. ,(Meeting at the Brown Hall)

May 9 2001 , Tree Planting Day - we will meet at the Brown Hall 6:15, car pool to the planting site north on the beaver bank road for 6:30 meeting with the other colonies. Parents please pick up your Beavers at the planting site at or about 7:30. dress for the weather and where boots. If you have not passed in your pledge sheets you must bring them with you in order to receive your scout trees crest.

May 12 2001 , A Colony Camp - camp will be from 10AM Saturday to 9AM Sunday May 13. We will meet at the camp gate 9:30AM saturday and travel together to the camp. Parents who have not volentered to help must be outside the gate by 10:15 (the gate will be locked untill 9:00AM Sunday). Please ensure your beaver has all items on the gear list. Beavers must bring their lunch for Saturday. We are operating on a tight budget and hope that this camp will be paid for with our section funds however we may experiance a shortage, in which case we will ask parents to contribute to cover costs.

May 26 2001 , 2nd Beaver Bank Group Camp at Fun Forest Camp. Meet at the camp gate for 9:30AM Saturday morning for a 10Am arrival to camp. Parents will be met at the camp gate at 6:45PM to be let into the cabin for a 7PM departure of Beavers. Pre-registration has been confirmed.

July 1 2001 , Canada Day Parade - this will be our 3rd entry in the Canada Day Parade in Lr Sackville. The Parade route is from Superstore Mall, 745 Sackville Drive to The Rock Church parking lot, 222 Sackville Drive. I am told that's 2.7km. We hope to share our float with other Beaver Bank Beavers. The parade officials want entries ready by 12:30, however the parade does not start untill 2PM, please have your Beavers at the start site by 1:30. Uniform is required, Tenderpads may wear the Cub uniform. We will use the new list type concent form, however if a parent is not available to sign at the event please use the Parent Consent Form and send it allong. More information to follow.
