~AT Journey's End~

The journey begins,
two strangers meeting one day,
cold and alone,
along the road called cyberspace.
One, a soul deep in thought,
a teacher of sorts,
with so much to give.
The other, one of purity,
and innocence of heart,
so eager to learn,
so desperate to be taught.
The two paths converge,
side by side, for once not alone,
sharing a smile, a laugh,
a similar ache of longing,
the searching for something
tangible yet unseen.
The journey continues,
no longer as difficult
as it might have been yesterday,
but not as carefree
as it may certainly be tomorrow.
Friends, yes, friends indeed,
found along the corridor
of cyberspace.
But is the familiarity
becoming strained?
Words are spoken,
misunderstandings shared,
feelings hurt.
A friend, 'tis true,
but one of convenience,
never for real,
never for always ?
At the end of the road, will the two paths turn,
each from the other ?
Will the sadness loom ?
Once more, will the teacher
speak into the silence ?
Will there be no student
to hang on every word ?
to beleive in them....
Please don't leave,
for life would never
be the same without you
at journey's end....
