Transtition

I reached for the console and felt rubbery
shapes squirming beneath my sweat slicked palm as the
familiar spinning filled my vision and the faster than
fast burst of nausea filled my mouth with spit but it was
all over before it could fully register. I felt my knees
fold far, far away and my cheek hitting the electric cool
of the public pad sent a jolt down my spine that brought
home that I was safe. I was one for the books. I had
random coded myself back to the Nexus.
I was the luckiest being alive....
