The Alberta Gazette is the official publication of the Provincial Government. It is used for official announcements of appointments, licenses granted, companies incorporated, official changes of name, impounded animals, and similar types of matters. Unlike some other provinces, notices of probated estates are not routinely published.
In the absence of published Alberta Provincial Directories after ca. 1930 this list helps to identify and locate rural residents. For farmers, ranchers, and other rural residents, researchers should also check out the brand books. No single source is comprehensive by itself, but together they form a reasonably complete guide to rural residents. Some people can be found in all three sources.
Please note that I am NOT researching any of these individuals, and so I am unable to do look-ups or provide any additional information on the persons listed here.
