In January 2016, I noticed this framed marriage certificate for sale at the Bibles For Missions thrift shop in Saint John, New Brunswick. I did not purchase the document, and I know nothing of how it came to be there for sale. I am simply presenting this information here as a resource for genealogists.
This marriage presumably occurred at St. Joseph's Parish in Halifax. Rev. William V. McCarthy served there from 1954 until his retirement in 1970. The church closed in 2008, and the parish records are now in the custody of Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta Parish.
Please note that I am NOT actively researching either of these individuals or their families, and so I am unable to do look-ups or provide any additional information on the persons listed here.
