Letter from Mr. J. Connors to the assistant ombudsman 02 August 94.
.
Dear Mr. DeYoung,
Re : Correspondence to Alasdair McKay, June 16, 1994
A copy of your letter to my former client, Alasdair McKay, has been given to me by Mr. McKay.
I am quite surprised that you would suggest to Mr. McKay that he file a complaint with the Barristers' Society without you having first taken the time to contact me or for that matter obtain complete details from Mr. McKay.
It seems to me that Mr. McKay is trying to convey to your office that at the time he was terminated representations were made to him by his employer ( a branch of the Nova Scotia Government ) that subsequently have turned out to be incorrect as a result of pertinent information coming to light much later.
You have not focussed on Mr. McKay's complaint and that is unfortunate.
Yours truly,
BOYNE CLARKE
