Apple Blossom Challenge

The Annapolis Valley Orienteering Club hosted one of it's most
successful events in recent years at the Lumsden Dam section of the
Hell's Gate map, given the numbers of participants and number of
new
members into OANS at the same time.

First the new members into OANS:
Sheila McCurdy of Wolfville,
Shelley Buckbornough of Fall River,
Veronica Landry of Tantallon,
Heather Breeze of Halifax, and
David Redwood also of Halifax.

Welcome all to OANS.

This event was so well attended by folks of all ages that ribbons
were awarded in several categories. Some of the participants did not
receive their ribbons because of leaving early or complete results
were not tabulated at the time of departure. We will make every
effort to get awards out via mail or personal delivery over the next
week or so.

A Special thanks to Art Harding who planned, checked locations and
placed many of the controls, to Ashley for his assistance with dad,
to Jim Jotcham for his tarps and BBQ, to Don Cavanagh-Dollard and
Jack Leenhouts for their assistance with set up and overall
assistance during the day of the event as well as getting controls at
the end of the day.
