This is looking into the hallway on the south side of the auditorium. Destruction of the building has been slowed because of the need to control asbestos dust. The asbestos, apparently, is in the plaster and is released into the air when the plaster is broken up. I asked if this asbestos poisoned me during my three years at QE and, perhaps, prevented me from becoming Prime Minister. I was told this was unlikely.
