AFAIK, lynx does not handle https. Given the initiatives to rid the web
of http servers, it would be helpful to a) explain the lack of https
support in the Online User Guide, and b) consider updating the text
interface to support https.

As a long time CCN user, I still find text mode helpful when I'm stuck
with a poor connection or dealig with a mass of email spam messages.
Maybe the number of text mode users is too small to warrant maintaining
lynx, in which http URL's in lynx should be deactivated so it can still
be used for pine but not surfing the web.
