Hello Chebucto. I am an old member who has gone through a few computer changes. This current change of laptop machines is from Windows XP to 64 bit 7. I never had this much trouble before. Maybe I am getting too old and falling behind the new systems.

It has all to do with sending mail out.

On the new computer I have set up a dial-up connection with Chebucto and a high speed connection with eastlink. ( A wired network at office and a wireless at home.) I use the POP server settings so that the emails remain on my computer.

On the old computer, using MS Outlook Express I had to select using the "from box" which connection to use ... either high speed or dial-up and it worked for sending mail.

Now with Windows 7, Outlook Express has been replaced with Windows Live Mail. They both look and seem to work the same. I set up two email accounts; one for Chebucto and the other for high speed. The only difference I used in settings between the accounts was in the outgoing mail server which for Chebucto I put "smtp.chebucto.ns.ca" . I got this from your web site. The rest of the settings I left as the default when setting up. The default outgoing is 25 and incoming 110

Chebucto will not send. Messages get stuck in the out box. I had a similar problem with my old computer when I was away. When I got back I called and you mentioned that there was a way to set up Chebucto so it would send mail from anywhere. You sounded very helpful. Maybe you would let me set my new computer up this way.

.

Thanks
