Toni:

I am concerned!

I went to www.lavasoft.com and downloaded their latest version as you
suggested. My AVG virus detector went on red alert and told me I had
downloaded infected files, I think that was the term. I tried to heal
and remove them according to their prompts but the program said they
could not be healed. Checking further info the prompts told me ( I
think) that the problems in question had been move to a vault
presumably to safeguard them. Have I just infected my computer? What
should I now do about the downloaded lavasoft program, or can I assume
it has been prevented from accessing my computer?

I believe I am using the latest version of Firefox. Presumably that
had the AVG feature that announced the alert.

Prior to downloading the lavasoft program I attempted to go into my
options file and flush my cache. I am running vista and there did not
seem to be an option to flush my cache or anything that resembled the
term.

My recycle bin is already empty.

I did try file clean up and removed temporary files and error
reporting files (nervously) but left anything related to windows for
fear of removing something essential. I started to do the same looking
at my recovery files but wimped out and canceled the application.
