Hello,

I am having a problem accessing my e-mail account using Mac Mail, =20
version 3.6, in OS X 10.5.8.

When I check my mail, after some delay, I receive the following message:

"There may be a problem with the mail server or network. Check the =20
settings for account =93CCN Mail=94 or try again.

The server error encountered was: The connection to the server =20
=93pop.chebucto.ns.ca=94 on port 110 timed out."

I tried activating the "Use SSL" option in Mac Mail Account =20
Preferences but this did not rectify the problem because I received a =20=

variation on the above message, as follows:

"The server error encountered was: The connection to the server =20
=93pop.chebucto.ns.ca=94 on port 995 timed out."

I have been using Mac Mail, and receiving mail from my Chebucto =20
account, without having the "Use SSL" option set for almost 3 years =20
without encountering this problem.

On a somewhat related matter, when I try to access my e-mail account =20
via Webmail in my Firefox 3.6.6 browser using the password which I =20
have been using successfully for POP e-mail and FTP access, Webmail =20
tells me "Login failed because your username or password was entered =20
incorrectly."

Thank you for your attention to this technical support request.
