Co-Housing: Living in Community Friday, August 26. 6:30pm –9:30 pm Scotia Bank Building, Auditorium 6135 University Avenue Halifax Cohousing describes neighbourhoods that combine the autonomy of private dwellings with the advantages of shared resources and community living. Ronaye Matthew has a degree in Environmental Design and worked in conventional development for eighteen years before getting involved in cohousing. She has worked full time as a cohousing development consultant since 1996 and lives at Cranberry Commons Cohousing. Ronaye was co-founder of the Canadian Cohousing Network and as a Director works towards raising public awareness about the benefits of cohousing. At this event Ronaye will present a documentary which features 3 co-housing communities and provide an overview of co-housing designs and as well discuss the benefits and challenges of living in community.
