Solar Nova Scotia Presents Solar Resources, a weekend workshop. Saturday and Sunday, August 20th and 21st, 2005 Sobey's Building, St. Mary's University, Halifax Solar enthusiasts and experts will gather in Halifax on August 20th and 21st to exchange ideas and information about renewable energy, energy conservation, and off-grid living. "We're responding to a great deal of interest in renewable energy topics," says organizer Lara Gibson, "we think this will be a good forum for people to become familiar with what solar resources the region offers, while also allowing those already familiar with the subject a place to discuss new ideas." In the lobby of the conference space on Saturday, August 20th , Solar Nova Scotia Corporate members will be providing information about locally-available renewable energy goods and services. The Saturday conference will include presentations and "Birds Of A Feather" informal discussion sessions. On the next day, Sunday, August 21st, participants are invited on a tour of solar and alternative energy homes in the St Margaret's Bay area, followed by a pot-luck supper. The conference is free for Solar Nova Scotia members and $20 for nonmembers. Pre-registration is required and space is limited, offered on a first-come first-serve basis. To register or for more information, please contact Lara Gibson to register.
