Job Descriptions: Clean Nova Scotia is a non profit environmental education organization working on climate change, solid waste, water and environment and health issues. Our mandate is: Working with Nova Scotians through education and action, to achieve environmentally healthy communities. Clean Nova Scotia is currently accepting resumes for the following positions: 1) Educational Program Officer Clean Nova Scotia is currently seeking an Educational Program Officer. The Educational Program Officer is responsible for creating, administering and delivering waste management presentations and workshops to students, schools, businesses and the general public. This position is a key member of Clean Nova Scotia’s waste management team. This is a short term contract until March 31, 2005 with a possibility of renewal The successful candidate will have a degree in environmental studies, education or a related discipline. You have experience working with a non-profit organization and experience creating educational learning tools. You are knowledgeable about environmental issues, possess strong oral and written communication skills and have a proven track record of working independently and with a team. A driver’s license is required. Fluency in French would be considered an asset. 2) Marketing Officer The Climate Change Centre, hosted by Clean Nova Scotia, is seeking a Marketing Officer. The Marketing Officer is responsible for implementing the One Tonne Challenge provincial advertising and promotion program that involves home energy efficiency and transportation. This is a short term contract until August 31, 2005. The successful candidate will have a degree in marketing or public relations. You have successfully implemented advertising and promotion campaigns and have experience in climate change and environmental issues. A driver’s license is required.
