Thanks! ____________________________________________________________________________ DEAR ENVIRONMENTAL/Social Justice GROUPS ON SUST-MAR: If your environmental/social justice organization would like to set up a display at the David Boyd Lecture this Wednesday, Oct. 22 in the atrium of Dalhousie Law School, 6061 University, please reply to cesr@dal.ca (see details of the event below) On Wednesday evening, David Boyd will be speaking and there will be a question and answer period from 7-8:15 PM in Room 105 of the law school, then door prizes, and finally there will be a food and drink reception with book signing/selling in the atrium (2nd floor) from 8:30-9:30 - your display would be in this reception area. We will have tables for you to use and there is no charge to set up a display. Please set up the display by 6:45 PM before the lecture in the atrium on second floor of the law school. There will be people there to assist you. Finally, please let us know if you would like to set up a display, so that we can ensure enough tables. Boyd, environmental lawyer, professor, activist and author. Boyd is also a Senior Associate with the University of Victoria's POLIS Project on Ecological Governance, an Adjunct Professor with Simon Fraser University's graduate Resource and Environmental Management program and the former Executive Director of the Sierra Legal Defence Fund. He has argued environmental cases at all levels of court in Canada. Boyd is the author of a new book Unnatural Law: Rethinking Canadian Environmental Law and Policy (UBC Press, 2003), the editor of Northern Wild: Best Contemporary Canadian Nature Writing, the author of Canada vs. The OECD: An Environmental Comparison. His essays appear regularly in the Globe and Mail and other newspapers.
