Thanks! ____________________________________________________________________________ Hopeful Hooligans unite for Simplicity’s Sake! The Otesha Project (www.otesha.ca ) has named October 10th, 2003 Living Simply Day - a day to celebrate positive lifestyle choices that lead to a more sustainable future for the planet and for people around the world. The 20 youth volunteers who have cycled across the country to promote sustainable living will be arriving in Cornerbrook, Newfoundland on that date. In celbration and in solidarity, people all across the country will be united in festiviites celebrating sustainable living. In Halifax, we are organizing a very special bike tour of the city - a chance to see your town through a sustainable lens. As we tour around Halifax on our carbon-free vehicles, we will be stopping off at a key locations such as our very own community garden, the Second Cup and the Killam Library. Some of these stops will give us the chance to celebrate sustainable choices which are being made every day in Halifax, and others are opportunities to be advocate and promote further sustainable behaviours (guess which category the Second Cup stop fits into!) Creative initiatives are being planned for each and every stop. When: Friday Oct. 10th 5-6 p.m. Where: meet in front of the Student Union Building For more info, call 453-1574 or email brookynn@yahoo.com ____________________________________________________________________________ Did a friend forward this to you?
