===========================

Environmental assessment is widely believed to be a process that will help us avoid environmental problems.
However, environmental groups and citizens often find themselves involved in a bureaucratic quagmire.
This workshop will provide a review of federal and provincial laws.
New Brunswick case studies will give us on-the-ground examples to expand and develop in-depth discussion.
Finally, we will have a strategic look at what environmental assessment can and cannot do for citizens
concerned about a development proposal and how environmental groups might respond.

With the multitude of industrial projects happening in every corner of the province,
environmental groups suddenly can find themselves in the middle of this process.
Learn about the benefits and pitfalls, and know where you stand!
