Successful Performance for Nova Scotia Turbines
HALIFAX, NS, 2003-06-24 (canadian association for renewable energies)
Two commercial wind turbines in Nova Scotia have generated 2 million
kWh of electricity in the first seven months of operation, according
to Nova Scotia Power. The 600 kW turbines in Grand Etang and Little
Brook will generate 3.2 million kWh a year, to offset 2,700 tonnes of
GHG. To date, 187 subscribers have purchased 350 blocks of green power
and a voluntary Green Power Program will be launched across the
province on June 25.
