Tatamagouche Centre presents: Facilitating Small Groups April 6-11 Sun. 7 pm - Fri. 1 pm “Learn to do by doing!” Small groups are the foundation of successful communities, churches, organizations and social movements! Improve your facilitation with a greater understanding of group dynamics, stages of group development, group decision-making and problem-solving. Gain confidence in dealing with difficult behaviours and situations. Become a more effective facilitator and increase your ability to provide leadership for satisfying, effective small groups in which individuals, organizations, communities and churches can be transformed. This mid-level course builds on the Tatamagouche model of educational design and uses a democratic, experiential and "strength-based" approach to learning. Leadership: Wilf Bean, Program Director, holds a doctorate in Community Psychology and has conducted workshops in emancipatory adult education and participatory development in many Southern countries. He is also an associate staff member with Coady International Institute, St. Francis Xavier University. Marg Brown is a therapist, consultant, adult educator and mediator, recently becoming qualified to administer and interpret the Myers-Brigg Type Indicator. Cost: $525 includes tuition, home-cooked meals and a cozy room! Bursaries available. “I increased my facilitation skills, learned new techniques and came away feeling so much more confident with so many new techniques!” – 2002 participant Contact Tatamgouche Centre at: Ph: 1-800-218-2220 Email tatacent@tatacentre.ca or Online at www.tatacentre.ca -*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*- SUST-MAR TIP: to leave the list, PLEASE send "unsubscribe sust-mar" (or unsubscribe sust-mar-digest") to majordomo@chebucto.ca -*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-
