Some weeks I have to turn messages away. Other times, like this week, the queue is empty. The worst part of moderating sust-mar is having to reject good messages featuring local events. READ ON if this has ever happened to one of your messages. The single best way to prevent this is to get your message in very early. Send it to sust-mar as many weeks ahead of time as you can. Remember: it may take me a week or two to get it on the list. It may take readers a week or so to see it. Sust-mar is not instant messaging! If you send two or more messages within a short time, expect significant delays on the second message. I want to give everyone a chance to use sust-mar. There are well over 300 subscribers. With one message per day for the whole list, that means i have to hold things back sometimes, to give everyone a chance. If you send two messages within the same calendar month, your second and subsequent messages go into the slow queue. They go on only after the fast queue is empty. I mention this b/c lately i've had to turn away several excellent messages for this very reason. If you are posting a message for a friend, that message still counts as yours. Solution: encourage your friend to sign up on sust-mar ad post her or his own messages. And again ... getting 'em in early will always help. Have a happy and safe holiday, everyone! ~paul :) -*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*- SUST-MAR TIP: tell your friends how to join sust-mar!
