No messages in the queue again today ... so i'll seize the opportunity to tell gardeners and would-be gardeners about a New Brunswick company that sells organic vegetable seeds by mail-order. Some of their varieties are especially suited, the company claims, to short growing seasons. The email version of the catalogue is too long for sust-mar (40K). But here's the first page. If you email Mapple Farms, they will be happy to send you the full email version. They sound like a great outfit. I'll be trying some of their seeds this year in planters on my deck (since i've no land to plant them in!). ~paul :) ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Mapple Farm, Greg Wingate [mailto:wingate@nbnet.nb.ca] Mapple Farm's Certified Organic Planting Stock for 2002 · Short Season Sweetpotatoes (14 cultivars) · Jerusalem Artichokes (Challenger, Stampede and Volgo 2) · Distinctive Tomatoes (12 types) · Soybeans, Black Jet and Vinton 81 · Peas, Purple Pod & Snow Pea Shoots · Pole Bean, Purple Peacock · Tomatillo, Indian · Chufa Nuts · Wonderberry · Cucumber, Parade · Zucchini, Black · Corn, Orchard Baby · French Shallots (Santé and Grey) · Egyptian Onions · Horseradish · Garlic, Roja · Potato Onions Plus: · Gardener's Plastic Mulch · Ken Allan's Sweetpotato Book Mapple Farm 129 Beech Hill Rd.
