(Le texte français au dessous) Camp Director NBFN Summer Youth Nature Camp Hourly Wage: $16/hr Job Start/End Dates: April 29th - September 2002 Cut-off date for resumes: April 5th The New Brunswick Federation of Naturalists (NBFN) Camp Director's primary responsibility is running a summer youth nature camp at three locations in the province of New Brunswick. The director is responsible for camp publicity and advertising, coordinating camp programs and staff, end of season evaluations, and fundraising. The Summer Youth Nature Camps will take place at the Huntsman Marine Science Centre, Saint Andrews, Camp Richelieu, Tracadie and Le fôret experimentale, Edmundston. The camp director will be the leading NBFN advocate for nature education of children. The director will be supervised by the NBFN Program Coordinator and Summer Camp Committee. There is a possibility that this position will be extended beyond September. Qualifications: · Preference to candidates with supervisory and/or administrative experience in residential outdoor education · Experience working with children · Experience in wildlife biology and/or environmental sciences · Background in education · Excellent public communication skills, both written and verbal · Fluency in French and English · CPR and First Aid Certification required, and criminal record check for selected candidate · Ability to communicate with parents, staff, volunteers and media · Proficient with MS Word; willing to become expert with Simply Accounting and Excel · Familiar with standard office equipment including computers, copiers, and fax. · Capable, dependable, independent, and flexible · Class 4 driver's license is an asset · Access to own computer is an asset · Nature interpretation skills an asset All resumes must be received by regular mail and email by April 5th.
