Making Peace - Local Approaches
March 22-24, Fri. 7 pm - Sun. 1 pm

After hearing a smorgasbord of stories - Peacemakers: An Association for
Alternative Dispute Resolution of Wolfville; the Corrymeala Centre of
Ireland; the Observer Project of Burnt Church; schoolyard peacemaking, and
more - we will discover where and how peaceful initiatives are already
transforming our communities and the world. People from church groups,
schools and community organisations are invited to vision and learn about
our roles in fostering a new culture of peace. Leadership: David Mangle is
a founder and staff person for Peacemakers: An Association for Alternative
Dispute Resolution, and is a Conflict Resolution Facilitator for Maritime
Conference of the United Church of Canada;  Thomas Mark Turay Ph.D. is a
lecturer in peace-building and conflict transformation at the Coady
International Institute; Rose Adams, Program Resource Group, Tatamagouche
Centre. Cost: $235

ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW ORDERED FOR PROPOSED MINE
The provincial government has ordered an environmental study of a
