Greetings,

The Canadian Labour Congress is hosting a public forum on the theme of
Environmental Racism.  Following are the details:

Date:      Friday, March 1, 2002
Time:      1:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Place:    UFCW Training Centre, 6331 Lady Hammond Road

This forum is part of the CLC follow-up to the World Conference Against
Racism that was held in Durban, South Africa last fall.

Spaces are limited, so pre-registration is required.  Please let us know
if you are planning to attend, by calling the CLC office in Halifax at
(902)455-2965, or by  email, to psadoway@clc-ctc.ca

The cutoff date for registration is February 25th.

NO ONE TOLD OF HIGH ARSENIC IN DRINKING WATER
People living in a tiny community in Newfoundland want to know why the 
provincial government didn't tell them about high levels of arsenic in 
their drinking water. They also want to know what the government's going 
to do about the problem.
