Hi there, CKDU is putting together a day of radio programming focussing on food issues, and we would like to hear your ideas and get your help. The shows can focus on any aspect of food -- from food production and distribution to purchasing and preparation. Topics can include genetically modified food, alternatives to supermarket shopping, the corporatization of farming, how to create a garden, pesticide use in food production, food not bombs, or something as simple as the recipe for your favourite food. No radio experience is necessary -- we'll help you out. For now, we're just getting ideas together. Audio contributions can take many forms, including commentary, documentary, soundscape, interview, subvertisement, informal discussions, music -- whatever strikes your fancy. And if you're worried about being on the air, or if this doesn't interest you, there will be lots of other work to do as well (like making posters and helping coordinate things). We can sure use your help. This day of food-related radio will likely take place at the end of February. If you would like to get involved, or if you have any questions, please call or e-mail Stacey Willick at CKDU: 494-6479/swillick@is2.dal.ca. In addition, there will be a meeting on Monday, January 21st at 6:00 p.m. at CKDU to start planning. Thanks, all. --Stacey *Please send this message along to other people you think may be interested. Apologies if you have received it more than once (or twice).* -*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*- The preceding message was posted on Sustainable Maritimes (sust-mar) -*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*- A word from our lawyers ... Don't forget ... COPYRIGHT material, such as newspaper/magazine articles cannot be posted on sust-mar without the owner's permission. It's against the law. CROSS-POSTINGS (messages from other lists) are also discouraged. In either case, why not tell us something about the issue in your own words? Or ... send a clipping along with the URL where the original can be found, or directions how to join the list it came from? Takes a few more minutes, but makes for a more interesting sust-mar ... :)
