with us!

Dec. 31 - Jan. 1, Mon. 3 pm - Tues. 10:30 am.
We’re about to celebrate a New Year! Join us to reflect together on the
changes in our lives, our communities, and our world. We will also look
ahead to where we need to be active in creating justice and peace in
2002. Have fun, share a special New Year’s meal and later bring in the
New Year together with ritual, worship and song. Our time together will
end with breakfast and conversation. Child care available on request.
Leadership: Norm and Laura Hunter. Cost: $70 Adults, $40 Children 2-14.

HALIFAX HARBOUR A STEP CLOSER TO CLEANUP
The polluted Halifax Harbour is one step closer to being cleaned up.
Halifax Regional Councillors agreed Wednesday to begin contract negotiations
with the Halifax Regional Environmental Partnership.

DOCTORS TO VERIFY SCHOOL AIR QUALITY COMPLAINTS
The Halifax Regional School Board is changing the way it handles complaints
from teachers and students about school air quality. It will now be up to
doctors to decide if an air quality complaint has merit before the school
board investigates further.
